Anyone used Insure & Go for travel insurance?

Has anyone used this company for travel insurance?
http://www.insureandgo.com/travel-in...-Insurance.htm

I'm finding it hard to choose a company/policy. There seem to be vast differences in price/cover. This one looks competitive and the cover is OK (I think! or at least I hope!)

If anyone has any experience of them (or can recommend anyone else) let me know! Thanks!

We use Insureandgo for travel insurance (not specific backpacker insurance).

They give a competitive rate, and longer than the normal 30 days overseas cover.

You can also get business cover for an additionsl £30.00.

I have never made a claim, so I can't comment on that.

I was ready to make a claim earlier this year, but the hospital bill, including 2 prescriptions was under £1.20 (Rs.95/-) so it is wasn't worth the bother!

Confused - Dont worry - try Confused.com

*cue* Dancing elephants --- ohhh no - wait thats the other insurance company (I been watching too much daytime tv)

I have also used moneysupermarket to search the different companies in the past. They also offer their own brand which is just as good. Never had to claim on travel insurance with anyone but they are more or less the same.

FWIW - Check your home contents insurance and if it covers you for "personal possesions away from home" as that would take care of your personal baggage component saving some money. If in doubt call up your insurance company and ask.

Hope that helps

PS - For the non-UK peeps a little clarification about the dancing elephant. There is on daytime tv this mega annoying ad for an insurance company where there's a dummy wearing an elephant outfit and doing a jig and then another guy comes in and keep repeating elephant.co.uk - elephant.co.uk - elephant.co.uk It certainly was the most annonying ad until the frog took over !! * Brrrummmmmmmmm*

Insurge and Go again

It is nice to see the name popping up. It makes me nostalgic. Once upon a time, I was the juniormost member of a team that looked at evaluating the firm for buying it out.

Given that I was the juniormost, I had to do a lot of shit work in going through in detail throgh all its operations and financials.
We thought its a great firm with a bright future.

Extrapolating from that - they must be having good products and efficient service. :-) So, go ahead and just buy Insure and Go !!
