any chance of rain?

We arrive in Mumbai on 5-17-09, arrive in Delhi 5-19-09; any change we'll need umbrellas, etc. in either place? sounds like the rain would be welcome about now, just wondering

How long you are staying? As rainy season starts generally in the beginning of June in Mumbai.
Also, there are chances, you may face some pre monsoon rain in May.

Monsoons in Mumbai are unpredictable.

So cant say, but considering past records, Rain doesnt hit mumbai anytime before mid- June.

Due to the geographical location, it is difficult to make even short term weather forecasts so be prepared if you can’t do without an umbrella. If not rain, it will help as a sunshade. The weather here is as unpredictable as a women ..."looking for a place to hide".

thanks! We'll only be there a week, sounds like an umbrella could come in handy for the sun if nothing else

If you find you want/need an umbrella, buy one there. Of course, if you have a small light one that you don't care about losing or breaking, bring your own!

Carrying an umbrella for sun is a nuisance in the city (too crowded)! It isn't that helpful in a monsoon type rain either. Best to find shelter & wait it out. Also, it's hot, so getting a little wet doesn't chill you.
