Airport security and ATM/CCs
I am wondering how to prevent airport security from demagnetizing the strip on my ATM and Credit Cards.
Do they generally allow you to place them in a separate container so they won't have to be scanned? Any tips would be very much appreciated! |

Seriously , I relied heavily on my ATM card last time , passed thru both IGIA and local airports without problems. The card was in the moneybelt , I think it went thru the x-ray but not the magnetic thingy. |

CC's shouldn't be damaged.
The best advice is to keep them on your person at all times so not to chance any screeners. Purses vanish, backpacks vanish, laptops vanish, or just plain get left behind by people. Keep all your credit cards, cash, t-checks, etc....etc.. on you. Best advice I can give. Mike Last edited by indiamike : Jan 5th, 2004 at 04:58. |
