what's agartala in tripura like?
i've just gotten off the phone with my friend in bhopal and have found out that they will be travelling to agartala while i am there and so i can go along if i like...
we'd stay about 3 days and i unfortunately would not have time to continue on into other parts of the NE.  i think i will go with them, but know zilch about tripura. so... in general, what's agartala like? i know there are lots of bengalis/bangladeshis, but do you also get a feel for the tribal groups of tripura while in agartala? (if i had time, i'd want to travel further to areas where the hill tribes are more prominant, as i am very interested in tribal india.) |

I have never been there, but Agartala too has a Neermahal (Lake Palace ).........
