some good info on the North East States
I,like many others,have had trouble gettng as much information about this area as I've wanted.I was overlooking an obvious source.The Indian Ministry of Tourism has an 180 page booklet called "India's North East-Paradise Unexplored" that's quite extensive.Lots of info on transportation, accomodation, roads, festivals,tons of pictures and a pretty good map for each state.Of course this is pure advocacy rather than a critical guide(no trouble in this paradise!)but I've found it quite helpful. I went to a trade show here and the Indian Tourist Board was handing it out.
