Silchar, Imphal, Churachanpur Hotel Info

I am traveling to Silchar and need advice on hotels. I have a generous budget so I am not necessarily looking for just price. There is very little info on the web about this area so anything is welcome. Also, I will be going to Imphal and Churachanpur, so if you have further adviced that is also a plus!

Stay in the hotel borailview or geetanjali in silchar.At imphal, stay in Nirmala Hotel or Tourist Lodge, both are safe.

Stayed at the hotel Borailview. It's a dirty dump. However they do have A/C, which you can pay extra for a room where it's supposed to be hooked to the generator and to stay on when the power goes out--which happens all the time, all night long. It was a good thought, but my AC tripped off all night so if I wanted it to stay on I had to keep getting up. Anyway, if you can avoid Silchar, I would recommend it. It didn't have any redeeming things to see (I was there for work so that wasn't my number one thing anyway, but in case you were wondering...) My colleague pretty much asked about and checked out the other recommended hotels, which all say that Borailview is the "best". That's my 2 cents.
