Pune
I might be heading out to Pune for a few weeks with work. Anyone tell me what I can expect? also, can you fly from pune - Goa or kerala?

Hi There...
If you come to Pune by June end you can definitely expect a taste of the rains... Right now it alternates between being a bit warm and humid to a bit a drizzle. Evenings are fairly pleasant. I do not think there are any direct flights to Goa. Howver, if you take a train, its only a nights journey away ! Its also well connected be Overnight Airconditioned Buses. Sorry, do not have much info on Kerala. Cheers, Ashish |

Pal,
when you in pune try visiting the OSHO commune(Koregoan park).One thing you shud not miss whilst in pune is Hotel Naaz on MG road which is close enuf to Osho commune.You get the best samosas on this planet.Also if you have free time on your hands I wud suggest you have lunch at Nandu's(near boat club road) they do the best parathas( bread/Pancakes stuffed with potato mash or mince meat).Now all these places are within close reach of each other. If you have time try visiting the NDA(national defence academy)its at the other end of the places I have mentioned. Going to Goa , as the post above mentioned its just an overnight bus ride.Your best bet for Kerala wud be going from Goa but I wud visit goa considering its closer to pune and not waste much time travelling(though kerala is cool) !!! Pune is my birth place so any mention of pune makes me feel good.Well I am in Scotland now and luv the people here !! cheers !!! |
