Lakshadweep Islands Transport
Can anyone tell me the truth about transport to the Lakshadweep Islands? I have read that foreigners are only allowed to fly and I have also heard of locals saying taking a ship is no problem. I would much rather go by sea because it's much cheaper, yet information about this seems to be scarce. Thanks.

Click here for all the state tourism site links. Under the Lakshadweep and A&N site they have given all sorts of fares (ship, helicopter, flight ) and schedules and all.

Hi!
Lakshadweep does not promote individual/ independent travel, so going to Andaman is the other option for you. If you are a non-Indian, then the only Island you can visit is the Bangaram Island. CGH Group (formerly Casino Group of Hotels) has a resort and they arrange everything. For Indian, three other Islands are open. |
