I've only been to the south side of the Brahmaputra, but would be keen to find out any info on the area's your visiting.

Wouldn't it be better to have booked to Tezpur? (or even Jorhat?)

Hi ,
It's possible to cover the areas in 7-8 days .. But will be crammed a lil..If u r going upto Ghy form there u can either go to TEzpur by bus or directly hire some Sumo that will go all the way to Tawang.. I think u have to halt at some place(probably Dirang) in between and then start the journey again next day as it won't be easy to travel at night .. U'll go via Bomdila ,Sela pass, and then tawang ..There may other options but I have no idea as of now .. So according to this u'll take 4 days jouney and halt + 1 or 2 days at Tawang
On the way back u can visit the Nameri Forest Eco camp(I heard good comments about this place from some of my friends) near bhalukpung..
after comming back to Ghy u can go to Shillong next day which is just 3 hrs journey from ghy .. From shilllong it's only agin 2.5/3 hrs journey to Cherra.. This u can cover in 2 days ..
Regards
Kaushik

Well now I think it won't be possible to see all these places .. Tawang Bomdila will be on different circuit then Itanagar Ziro.. Shillong & Cherra are in Meghalaya not Arunachal Pradesh.. So will be next to impossible in 6 days ..
