Deposit money in travel agents (car owner's) bank account????

Hi ,
I just talked to a tour operator in tawang called meeraj ahamed (whose contact i got from india mike).he asks me an advance for the tour(car basically) to be deposited in an sbi account.is it safe.can guy be traced if the guy and his car doesnt turn up on the day?does anyone of you know about meeraj ahamed.

No. It's not necessary to pay in advance and I wouldn't advise you do it. Even if the car turns up, it might be a terrible service or a poorly maintained car...wait till you've met your driver and seen the vehicle before paying!

Sounds like your dodgy meter has gone off. This smells dodgy to me, and I'm fifteen thousand miles away.

In India, you always pay after you see what you're getting. Don't part with the cash until you've got the product and you're happy with it.

Dont do it for gods sake. Paying in advance in India usually means you get crappy take it or leave it service wit ha bullying attitude.

Drop the agent and look elsewhere.

Thanks yaar for your advise.dropping the agent as well as the plan..lol.tight work schedule..i hate work...
