Barauni Junction Safety

Hello. I have booked a trip in which I must switch trains around midnight at Barauni Junction in Bihar. Does anyone have information about the security situation at this location? Is there a 1st class or 2A waiting room? If I keep close guard of my valuables and don't interact with people, am I likely to be reasonably safe? I've heard horror stories about the region where this place is located, and I am a bit hesitant about waiting there around midnight.

Thanks,
Todd

If you stay at the Station premises, no problem.

There is a higher class waiting room (for 1st/2nd AC).

Please do not go away from your luggage and you may interact with fellow passengers in the waiting room. No harm in that.
