visiting chilka lake in first week of may

is it good to visit chilka lake in the first week of may? is the lake is about to dry?

i have 3 days for orissa. will be visiting bhubneshwar/nandankanan for 1 day. puri/ konark for 2nd day and third day for chilka lake.

if there is no point in visitng chilka, then can anyone suggest me some other one day spot to visit.

First of all, Chilka is not a lake but a lagoon. It can't go dry, unless the sea goes dry.
I visited Chilka 4 years ago in the summer. The drive alone is beautiful.
May will be the hottest month in Orissa. It also gets humid there.

May is the hottest month for orissa and if will go to chillika in the month of May you can't enjoy the real beauty of chillika that the birds from Saiberia at Nalabana,Chadheihaga Mountain.No matter you can go to the Sea Mouth from Satpada.Book for whole day and enjoy the scinic beauty.
