Travel to Orissa

Hi,
I am planning to travel to Orissa in last week of Nov. I am planning to visit:
- Puri (3 days)
- Konark
- Chilika (2 days)
- Bhubneshwar (2 days)

Does this itinerary looks reasonable?
Also, I am traveling by Rajdhani so what will be the best mode of transport from Bhubneshwar to Puri? Should I hire taxi for the whole trip? How much will it cost to keep one taxi throughout?
Any suggestions on the luxury/extremely good hotels.

Thanks,
Amit.

No need to keep a car for the entire tour, it's readily available everywhere - outside Bhub railway station, at Puri...
If you don't have any plans to stay overnight at Chilika, then it can be covered in one day from Puri.

Thanks Brishti and Mousourik ... I have checked the other IM's but seems like everyone covers Bhubaneshwar, Konark and Puri only. Chilika is always a separate IM.

During our 2007 trip we made an organized trip through tribal Orissa and ended this in Chilika Lake, Puri and Bhubaneshwar.
We stayed one night in Barkul, 150 km from Bhubaneshwar and two nights in Satapada. This is on the other side of the lake, an hour drive from Puri.

In both places we stayed in reasonable hotels of the tourist organization.

Part of the trip where some boating trips. Depending on the time of the year Barkul is good for spotting migration birds.
The attraction of Sonapur are the dolphins.

In Orissa I must always reccommend the tribasl areas in southern Orissa between Rayagada - Koraput - Jeypore - Boipariguda - Onukudeli.

On your way from Bhubaneshwar to Puri/Konarak is really interesting the visit to Hirapur to see the "64 Yoginis Temple" a real gem, Hirapur is also an interesting village , they are specialized in bells for the temples. Not far from Hirapur you should visit Dhauli where you can see one of the rock with the Ashoka's edicts. At 10-15 km from Bhubaneshar the jainist/budhist caves of Udayagiri and Kandagiri worth the visit.
