Hi,
Want to travel simlipal and chandipur within 3 days(10,11,12 april).
I am from kolkata. Is it possible to travel with in 3 days?Could you please tell me what should be the comfortable route?? do we need to book hotels or we get it easily on that time?
what we have thought is go to balasore from howrah by foloknama xpress on 10th april. then go to simlipal by bus.night stay there. nextday(11th) will see the sanctuary and then go to chandipur on afternoon. nightstay there.on 12 th afternoon coming back to balasore again and take bhagalpur xpress at 18.34 pm.
please inform me if you have any better option. I don't know whether simlipal is good enough to travel in one day or not.

Choton, Welcome to Indiamike. My advice is - Go to Simlipal for all of the three days, and skip Chandipur. If you are thinking of a sea and waves in Chandipur, just forget it. There is a mud beach and everlasting - you have to walk miles to go nearer to the sea - and with knee deep water with no waves. Go to Simlipal. You will enjoy.

thanks bhaswaran......can you pls tell me in detail....i mean is there any particular place in simlipal where you will reffer us to go...you told to stay 3 days there....
i just want to know is there any oppertunity to travel the forest over an elephant....i mean what are the options to avail in simlipal...by walking or by car etc....
and one thing....some of us who wants to go chandipur....so may be we have to go....

Jeeps are allowed in the forest, provided you have permit obtained from the Forest Office. Look in the Orissa threads in the "Forums" section. You will find more details about SImlipal.
