Puri in December

Hi All,

I am planing to go Puri in December. I am reaching Puri on 24th December and back on 28th December. So my plan is.......

24th Dec. - Reach Puri via Bhubaneswar, I want to visit Tample on same day afternoon.

25th Dec. - Konark tour & Return to Puri

26th Dec. - Chilka Tour & Return to Puri

27th Dec. - Full day at Puri

28th Dec. - Back to Kolkata

I need some information for my Puri trip...

1. Conducted tour cost of Konark & Chilka?
2. What are the placeses included in the trip?
3. How I reach Puri from Bhubaneswar station? (Also cost)

I planed this trip as I mentioned.......

Give me your views and ideas abt this trip.....

I did the Chilika lake tour from Puri. Don't remember the price but it wasn't expensive. On the way to Chilika lake we stopped at some Hindu temple but non-hindus were not allowed in.
At the lake we did a boat trip with several stops wich was nice.
For the Konark temple I just took a local bus to the temple from the main bus station. Many buses go there all the time.
Puri is a great place. Had planned to stay a few days but ended up staying more than a week. Very relaxed.

Puri will be extremely crowded at these time. Do your hotel reservation well in advance.

Due to arrive in Bhubaneswar on 26 Dec and have a week to see it, Puri, Konarak and Calcutta - would rather not book, anything in case any thing goes wrong with the flight on the 26th and also would like to see how things go - are things likely to be totally full ? Would it be worth visting Puri for the day from Konarak, to avoid having to change hotels ?

from 25 to 1st jan expect all hotels in puri(at least those on/near the beach) to be totally full. Konarak does not have too many accomodation options.

Business type hotels in bhuvaneshwar may have some vacancies.

I'm also planning to Travel to Puri in Dec(15-20). Can any one tell some good hotels to stay. my budget is around Rs 3500/- per night. Any hotel names pl?

There is toshali sands resort near the puri beach (i think it suits ur budget)

Ethinic resort.... enjoy..
