Hi there

can somebody please let me know - to visit Bhuv-Puri-Konark, it is better to go in May or June. Weather wise as well as crowd wise (less crowded is better for me) or its the same in both these months. Thanks in advance.

It will be hot in either month.

Crowdwise too, not much difference, unless it is the end of June, when schools in most parts of the country may have reopened.

thanks, Actually I was thinking more in terms of monsoon when is it suppose to arrive in orissa, is it early or late in June? Crowd - in terms of religious festivals - which would increase the crowd...

You may get rain in June, more in July.

I am not much in the know about festivals, sorry. Can't think of any major festivals at that time, but I may well be wrong.

the rath yatra seems to be in june - july, though no specific dates are given.
you could call orissa tourism or someone on IM could figure out the exact dates - whichever.

incidentally - the rath yatra is the festival of all festivals of the chariot - and it is chocablocked with pilgrims and/or visitors at that time...
so indic - go forth and seek ye the date for it.

13-Jun Ganga Dusshera

but i am not aware of how much celebration comes all with these ones.

It would be wise not to visit in May or early June as it would be scorching hot these days.I am a native of bhubaneswar and know the place very well.Mid july would be the appropriate time and you can see Rath Yatra also.
