Heritage Tours Orissa... Have you done this?
http://www.heritagetoursorissa.com/
My girlfriend and I are looking at this group to personalize a tour of Orissa for us for 5 days. We would be visiting different tribes, Konark, Jagganath Temple, etc... However, I'm wondering if anyone's used them before and can vouch for them being a reliable and decent company. |

hey welcome to india mike. well my native place is orissa. so i know there are many who offers heritage tour. but i would like to advise you not to go to the south orissa tribal areas these days cause of political tension. there are noxalites. so better do visit bhubaneswar, konark, puri, chilik a,raghurajpur, pipili, nandan kanan, kendujhar for tribal tour.
Bhubaneswar:you can see the famous lingaraj temple, rajarani temple, mukteswar temple, khandagiri and udayagiri hills for jain caves way back to BC.,DHAULI GIRI hwere the famous Kalinga war happenned and cause of that budhism spreaded world wide. Nandan Kanan:this is near to bbhubaneswar.the most number of white tigers of the world are here. you can have lion safari. and have rope way over the lake. pipili:craft village on teh way to puri from bhubaneswar. raghurajpur:this is again craft village where you can see the famous PATA painting" ou can see evry member of family do this . and ou can try your hand there. Puri:THE Jagannath temple, the golden sea beach, the fisher villages (NOLIA) kONARK:The sun temple which is one of its kind and one of the seven wonders of India. chilika lake:the biggest salt lake in whole of asia. well its very famous for birds and there are villages in side the lake. dont forget to visit KALIJAI temple. hope it will help you Quote:

Go for it!
Aloha Roobycube,
I can surely recommand Heritage Tours. They are reliable and decent. The first time I was in India with a group of people Heritage Tours arranged the Tribal Tours. Everything was so perfect, that me and some others decided to come back to India the next year and asked Heritage Tours to arrange a trip to Assam. That trip too was excellent. Bubu and his men make you feel welcome and they treat you as a paying quest instead of a tourist. Go for it and have a great time in India. |
