I plan to go Gopalpur for weekend trip on mid of July. Please help me with some info of the place.

1. Best Hotel (Budget) at Gopalpur?
2. Cost of Hotel?
3. I'll stay 2 nights. Is ok for that place?
4. Taxi cost from Berhampur to Gopalpur?
5. Is it possible to go TAPTAPANI for a day trip?
6. If yes then cost of that TAPTAPANI trip?

Please send your tips as early as possible..........

2. Cost of Hotel? RS. 400 PER DAY, DOUBLE ROOM, THERE IS NO AC ROOMS.

3. I'll stay 2 nights. Is ok for that place? OH! SURE, IF U CAN U STAY THERE 3 OR 4 DAY'S

4. Taxi cost from Berhampur to Gopalpur? RS. 200-250 ( BURGAIN PRICE )

5. Is it possible to go TAPTAPANI for a day trip? PLS. START EARLY IN THE MORNING THEN IT WILL BE POSSIBLE.

6. If yes then cost of that TAPTAPANI trip? RS. 300-400

There is a hot spring in Taptapani 67 kms from Gopalpur
Chilka is 45 kms from Gopalpur
OTDC Panthanivas would be a good place to eat.
You can purchase fresh sea food at local markets and get it cooked by the locals.

Best place to EAT at Gopalpur? PLS. ORDER ALL FOODS AT HOTEL RECEPTION BEFORE GOING OUT, THERE IS NO SUCH GOOD PLACE TO EAT. AT HOTEL SEA SIDE BREEZE THEY ARE MAKING DELICIOUS FOODS.

What dish? PLS. ORDER BENGALI TYPE OF FOODS ( RICE, DAL, DIFF. TYPE OF FRY, VEG. SABJI & FISH/CHIKEN ). DON'T TAKE MUTTON.

In the late nineties I was in both places. ABSOLUTELY nothing to do. Does that appeal to you? A friend raved about Gopalpur by sea. I couldn't see the attraction.
