Does anybody know if it is possible to meet some Tribes (Konyaks; Nocte or Wanchoo Tribes) in the regio of the foothills of the Patkai Hills - in Assam State (area bordering Assam/Arunachal/Nagaland - but not entering in this states) ? So if yes, where ? Thanks.

Tribes in Assam- Nagaland
Interesting question, Without visiting Assam and Nagaland its not possible to visit the tribal areas.Being a foreigner as myself you need RAP or Restricted Area Permit which will allow you to visit RAP of Assam & Nagaland.
You might able to meet people from NorthEast in major cities of India such as Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bangalore doing their higher studies, and working. And will be mistaken for a chinese, korean or Japanese.BTW NorthEast people are really friendly and will not fit to your imagination of Tribal. Most of them are christianized, speak english fluently than most plain Indians.
