The geogolical survey of India has identified 350 hot springs in India.Here are some of the most visited and beautiful ones.
MANIKARAN 45 KM from Kulu.It lies in Parvati Valley and hot springs are situated on the banks of Parvati river.The spring here come out to the surface with high pressure and very hot.It has no sulphur and iron contents.The gurudwara and a temple at the spot cook food with this water and look after the visitors.Pilgrims come here to cure high boold pressure,kidney stones and skin diseases. VASHISHTH 6 kms from Manali near river Beas.the temerature up to 110F.There is a turkish bath about 5oo meters away maintained by Tourism authorities. YUMTHANG This is located at an altitude of 12.000 Ft. and 135 Kms from Gangtok in north Sikkim.This is secretly lies under a small hut near lachung river.The water here contains sulphur. TAPTAPANI Its famous and located 51 Kms from Simla and on on the banks of Satluj river.(656 mts).It is a natural sulphur spring and have curative powers. TAPTAPANI This one with the same name is located in Orissa and in green forests from a distance of around 40 kms from the capital city of Bhubaneswar.Even one can bath with the water inside the tourist lodge located there.It has sulphur and cures a lots of skin sicknes. |
