Tarkali, Malvan, Ganpatipule

Hi! I am from Bangalore. There is a long weekend coming up in August. Me and my fiance want to travel someplace out of the ordinary and off the beaten track. I had once heard of Tarkali, Malvan, Ganpatipule on the Konkan coast. If anybody has done these places, could you help me out with some info about places to stay and things to see? Is it do-able from Bangalore in 4-5 days? Thanks

For 4 - 5 days pickipng up one place would be ideal.
Tarkarli in my opinion would be a better choice. It's 25 - 30 mins. ride from Malvan City. Best option to stay at Tarkarli is MTDC Resort which is right on the beach. There are other budget guest houses as well. Please note that rainy season is not the best time to visit any beaches as you will not be able to swim as in winter or summer. Weather permitting you can also visit fort in the city which is located in the middle of the sea.

You will need to act fast.

Most of the accomodation in these places would be booked heavily for that long weekend.

I would recommend Tarkali too; I guess you are looking at the Aug 15th weekend, if so on that day Ganpatipule would be full of Mumbaites and Punekars

Check out their website for booking info. They have online booking facility. As suggested earlier don't go without booking since it's a long weekend. Have a great time.
