Pictures of my trip to Haridwar, Bundi and Ujjain

Here is a link to a selection of pictures of my trip (february/march 2007) to haridwar, Bundi and Ujjain.

http://www.flickr.com/photos/2279316...7603795157112/

It has been a very short trip (10 days only), but really great and full of that particular "taste" of India which I hope will be found in the pics.

Hoping you will enjoy them...

Gianni

Nice Photos, thanks for sharing. Although they are making coping with the excitement of going there myself in less than 3 weeks all the more difficult.

Thanks Jorge! But I have seen your pictures, and you are a great photographer too! Take photographs of people in India is fantastic, I spend hours besides the main public places like temples, ghats, markets waiting to "merge" with the local people and to have a good feeling with them, so that they allow me to take pictures while they behave as if I am not there... it's my favourite activity in India, rather than going aroung to see everything.

Have you ever published some of your Indian pics? Are you a professional photographer?

Hola! Gianni

I understand you... it's -30 for me today, and I cannot wait anymore!

(and it's "visa-day" today for me... I'm just going to the embassy to spend some hours in a line, and it's something absurde that this makes me so happy! )

gianni66,

I'm not a professional photographer (just to see my pics and the pics from professionals....) I donīt even know about technique.

I make quite a lot of pics mostly portraits and groups because I'm there and is one of the best ways to remember it when you are
at home in the cold days of winter (well, in Murcia where I live the winters are not very cold, but the sentence sounds better like that).

You are absolutely right about the best way to make non stolen pictures in India, and there is another thing: The empathy with the people. You have it or you havenīt.

All the best

Jorge
