Off the beaten track Rajasthan
We'll be in India in August and we'd like to see some off the beaten track places, especially in Rajasthan. Has anybody been to the following places: Rohet, Osiyan, Barmer, Ghanerao, Dungarpur, Bassi, Baroli or Jhalawar? What recommendations do you have? Is it woth it to go to those places or is it better to stick to more known places? We'd like to see a little bit of the rural Rajasthan, but it's hard to find onformation about this places, except in LP.

add few more village in your off the beaten track
Hi marco polo,
The above your mention village are really good to see rural indian village (exept barmer, if you are not doing any textile{embrodrie} bussiness), where you can explore your travel. I am adding more few village Rawala khempur close to Udaipur airport, and Madhogarh near to (bassi)japur. There you can see real local people life with there tredition and calture, and how they celibrate there small small festivals which is not so famus for big city people becouse now the life is very fast in india as like western counrties. for more info. let me know. ![]() |
