The details/pictures of my trip to Mussoorie (March 2006)

Hi fellas

I came back from 4 day trip (Mar 9th to Mar 12th) to Mussoorie a few days ago. I was looking for a kewl website to post the pics I clicked keeping my fellow Indiamikers in mind but couldn't find a good website.

The pics were clicked with Canon Powershot A400 at a resolution of 1600x1200, hence, the huge size.

At last, yahoo photos came up with unlimited storage but their easy upload tool wasn't working. So I had to upload around 140 pics one by one. that's what I was doing since morning. After so much of hard work and labor, I found out that yahoo actually cropped my pics by Itself making them look so cheap and pixelless.

So the process of searching started again and I was bombarding google with all kinds of effective key words I could think of to find a website which offered unlimited storage along with the promise of pasting the pics with the same size and resolution as I clicked them + an unlimited character limit ro describe what I have posted.

I came across http://photobloggers.net and It appealed to me the very moment I created my free account and checked out other people's blog.

I tried using the web publish feature of windows xp to post the folder containing the pics, It took hell lotta time and completed the publishing only to my surprise that none of the pics are there on my blog. So I again started the process of pasting the pics one by one, and at last here I am - frustrated, tired but happy.

I have started writing description for all the pics but right now I am feeling so tired that I hardly have the energy to drive back home without falling asleep.

Anyways, I will complete the description process tommorow. In the meanwhile, checkout the whatever pics are there at the following link:

http://www.photobloggers.net/photobl...&action=photos

You would need to click on each pic to enable a bit larger view and read the description. If you wish to see the full size pic, click on the pic once again and you will get the full pic at the resolution at which It was clicked.

Also, I started describing the pics in descending order from the last pic to the first one, so you might want to click on 'previous' option.

To sum up the tour, I took the Chandigarh - Panchkula - Kala Amb - Nahan - Paonta Sahib - Herbertpur - Sela Qui - Prem Nagar - Dehradun - Mussoorie Route.

I (as usual) went to Mussoorie frol the old Mussoorie road (the one that turns left from Rajpur) and came back from the normal route.
While going I took the road less travelled - Jharipani route but did make rounds of the main Mussoorie road just to click a few pics.

I went in My Daewoo Matiz which proved faithful and sturdy once again on the toughest of uphills. It was raining heavily most of the time, so kindly bear with the pics clicked from inside the car. Of all the times I have been to or lived in Dehradun/Mussoorie, this was one of most amazing times me and my GF spent together. I just love the freshly watered green surroundings with the clouds all around me.

You will find me fooling around in some of the pics but couldn't avoid pasting those as they do tell a thing or two abt where I went.

Not just to say It, but this time I really did a lot of survey of a few hotels and Off Beat Exotic Calm Serene places to stay. The one that I liked best is Rokeby - the pics of which you will find on the blog.

If anyone needs any kind of help or advice, do let me know. I can also arrange for a few discounts as I did tell a lot of guys there about Indiamike and the people who seek advice travelling from out of India and are looking to spend a good time without wasting much money on the luxuries offered by any other hill station.

Do revert for any clarifications/feedback. Thank you.

That's my favorite shot - I have some pics taken from virtually the same point.
