Cool Mukteshwar or Kanatal

Planning a three day vacation in may end. Bit confused whether to visit Kanatal or Mukteshwar! Also let me know good resorts.

Mukteshwar no doubt, much better and many place around for short visits. Check with KMVN for bookings as a first priority.

Thanx! Hows the weather in May end? My plan is to start at 6 a.m. from delhi and halt for a day in Corbett. Take a safari early morning and proceed for Mukteshwar. How far is Mukteshwar from Corbett?

Don’t know exact but should be around 110 Kms from Jim Corbett.
Check http://www.inasra.com/hotels_in_indi...Mukteshwar.php for other hotels.

Hiya...

Corbett will be hot and dry...
Sorry to say so, but I doubt if you'll get to see any tigers...
The tigers also feel the heat, obviously...!

Mukteshwar offers the best views on a clear day...
The resorts are many, but the KMVN has the best spot of them all.
During both my visits to Mukteshwar, I stayed at the KMVN... (Last time around I was lucky as it snowed and snowed and snowed)

People staying at the other resorts in the vicinity (within 10 km) come to the KMVN (actually to the PWD Guest House next to it) for the superb early morning views... There is even a plaque to identify the various mountain peaks in the horizon...
But you'll be lucky if you get the booking at the KMVN...

Good luck...

Cheers...!

I went to Mukteshwar in March and stayed at "Mountain Trail". It was pretty good. You can also try "red roof"

Be warned that Mukteshwar has no water source and 'imports' its water from Bhimtal in tanker lorries!
Do specifically confirm availability of water at whichever resort you are booking with.

One of the reasons why Mukteshwar has not grown much in the last decade!
