looking for Indian "experiences"
looking for Indian "experiences"
Hello,
we will take our teens(17 years old) to India next month.
Our route is set to go to (13th - 27th july)
Delhi
Pushkar
Jodhpur
Kumbhalgarh
Bundi
Agra
Khajuraho
& Varanasi.
Apart from the known highlights we are looking for experiences along the way.
A nice yoga class, visiting an interesting NGO or university campus, pick up a movie in an authentic cinema, have dinner at the newest talented chef in town, visit a wrestling school...
Does anyone have some suggestions?
Thanks from Belgium,
stevendh

In Jodhpur we stayed several times at Durag Niwas guesthouse.
The guesthouse is also the base for a NGO to educate young women.
Another feature is their trip to the Thar desert, member Dave W made a great blog of this.

stevendh,
For the cinema bit, I'd recommend rajmandir in jaipur. It was built in the 70s in art deco style and the assembly hall outside the theater room has bollywood styled decorations.
Many visitors who do not understand hindi come in just to view the building and the decor.
If you were to stop over in jaipur en route to pushkar you could add this to your plans.
Also, I see you're skipping orchha, suppose there's a reason to...
