has anybody been to Kudal and surrounding area?

Yes, I've been there, but many years back. At that time there was nothing to see or do at Kudal, but it may have changed now.

However, a visit to Vengurla, on the sea-shore, is a MUST if you're a beach lover !!

Hi jamie,

Kudal is situated on Mumbai - Goa highway near Bhansal river . Surrounding are Walaval (full of greenary).Vithal Temple ,Rangana Fort etc.
you can reach there by
Mumbai or Goa (By Air)
By Road : Mumbai-kudal (highway 17)
By Rail : konkan railway

Nearby Attractions:
- Tarkarli Beach and Sindhudurg (Sea) Fort (Towards the north) at Malvan
- Vengurla (Beach + small port): The view from the lighthouse is amazing.

You can try the route to Goa along the coastline. Its quite scenic. Basically, from Malvan/Kudal go to Tiracol fort via Vengurla. Ferries are available there to cross you over to Querim in Goa.
