Question Inviting ideas for a 10 day trip! base- Pune

hi everyone,

I'm currently based in Pune and would like your suggestions for a 10 day vacation. Budget around 20k-25k for 2 of us, so probably will have to avoid flights. Time period is last week of may/1st week of june so somewhere where the climate would be pleasent.
Would be travelling with my boyfriend who is alreday taking a 5 hr international flight to mumbai+3 hrs to pune so would like to avoid any train journeys longer than 15 hrs (unless someone thinks a place is really worth it !)

Would like to cover just 2 places or so, so that we can just explore and enjoy the location.

also would Goa be ok at this time?

Any specific interests ?

How about the scenic ruins of Hampi coupled with Bangalore, Mysore, Ooty ?

Goa's good for a loner this time. And I mean Good.. Cheap booze and solo walks on the wet beach with fresh rains.
B'lore might be too warm.

COORG will be awesome!

Listen, I was in Pune 3 yrs.. (Sigh! Those college years)
I would seriously recommend the Hills up north.

Take an economy flight or something.. Any budget constraints?

@delhiwala- nice suggestionx but we are talking bout end of may, so most of these places would be a little too hot maybe, would like to avoid metros like bangalore definetly... ooty is perhaps not a bad idea! I have stayed in mysore for 3 months last year so not again
specific interest... well something scenic and on the cooler side.
@jzsinr- budget constraint yes, would like to keep the whole trip to below 25k, including travel and accomodation. not sure if we can fly somewhere for that amount. will explore bout coorg.

thanks for suggestions!

Hi ,
Depends on what turns you on!!

Auroville down south near Pondicherry could be one gr8 idea. Budget can be as ow as Rs. 250 per day.

Up north , if you wanna trek my personal fav is Uttaranchal , tons of treks that would fit your time frame and budget.

If you like wildlife , i would suggest MadhyaPradesh and north east Maharahstra lotsa options there.

Bouldering - Hampi is paradise.

Coorg would be better than Ooty or Kodi , less commercial.

Cheers
Sam
