Hotels in Devbagh, off Karwar

hullo..
i'm planning to go down to devbagh (a very beautiful beach off Karwar) this summer with a friend who isn't indian. can anybody give me some information about the hotels down there. from all the research i've done so far, including past threads about devbagh, it seems that there's only one hotel (state run) that caters to everybody, but on varying degrees of [monetary] preference. as a result, foreign nationals get charged a bomb! is there any way around this?

Hi Karakal,

Karwar is a great place.

I have been there.

There are some good places to stay in...
1. Devbagh beach resort ( Jungle Lodges property
2. Great Outdoors Resort
3. Estuary view resort.

I stayed at Devbagh beach resort...and it was great.

Great Outdoors is also on a island, and it looks aweful.

I have also put a travelogue on IM, pls check it. It has info on hotels, contact details, what to do, what to see etc.
