Darjeeling Bound

I can't imagine there's a more peaceful, scenic place in all the world than Anadu Gardens Guest Home. So taken with the place, I built them a website http://www.drool.com/anadu It's located in a little village called Anadu (means peaceful on the other side of Fewa Lake, Pokhara, Nepal. There are no roads in Anadu, no shops, so quiet and peaceful it is.

Only problem is I'm allowed only five months in Nepal in any given year. So now I'm off to Darjeeling and I'm wondering if anyone out there can suggest a similar place to spend the next six months. If not a particular guest house, then a general location in Darjeeling where I might be able to find such a peaceful place. Thanks so very much.

Darjeeling Bound

I read where you were staying---read about the dogs....very nice.

I have been to Darjeeling and enjoyed it very much...the place I reccomentd is Andy's guest house.....very clean....very nice people, cheap. Not exactly what you may want ....but try it til you find another place......you won't find a cleaner place in India....and it is very very quiet.

Down the raod is a resteraunt called Samila's kitchen---excellent food reasonbly priced......you will enjoy.

Tell them Beverly Gill told you to go there.....they probably won't remember me---they do very good business....but tell them anyway.

Write me back and let me know how you did....and how you enjoyed Darjeeling.

Beverly
