Corbett Park Authorities themselves run a safari, albeit in bus. You may reach Corbett/Ramnagar and join any of the jeep safaris run by local hotels/agencies/individuals.

Corbett Park's No. is 05947-251489,253977

Just arrive in Ramnagar and ask around. It should not be hard to find someone who will facilitate. In case you intend to go to Dhikala area, you must book acco there through CTR office. People who are not staying in Dhikala are not permitted to enter this section.

Safari booking

2 options: 1. book an all-inclusive tour package-deal kind of thing with a resort, there are several who have details on the Web. 2. Show up early (before 8 AM) at the Ramnagar office and you will easily find a driver and Gypsy who will also help with suggestions and bookings, etc. Just be careful not to get scammed, use your judgement.

I was told that the safari booking has to be done 15 days in advance. Have already booked with a tour package. I am staying in Wild Crest. Any review of this resort.

I have booked early morning jeep safari. Is it advisable to take evening safari as well. As we will be reaching at around 2p.m. what do you suggest to do in the evening?

You may go to Garjia Devi Temple.....

There are Dhikuli Ruins, if you have any interest in archaeology

And a hidden gem is Sitabani Temple. It's believed to be the ashram of sage Valmimk and the legend has it that Sita went into the earth at this spot after her Agni Pariksha.

One word of caution, it's deep inside the jungle and approach is tough.....
