What all options do you have in mind?
Trips to Utrakhand can take 3-4 days also... I guess you have something grand in mind..!! Please share details about you plans, and I am sure a lot of help would be available...

Well i am from kolkata and travelling to any place to utarkhand will take 3 days by train ( UP /DN) .I travel excessively for by buisness trip all over india. Well some one told me its really difficult to get a room in Haridwar for a single person of my age due to security reasons( inspite of having my identity cards. I thought of travelling to Andaman, or ladhak, or any other place as Hills attracts me.............. any suggestion for an hassel free travel. |

I have never heard of single people not getting rooms in Haridwar, but you can always try...
If it would be your first time, you can stick to famous tourist places like Nainital, Mussouri etc... My personal suggestion would be to go to a place like Chopta and do some trekking to Tungnath/Deoria Tal etc... This would be a much better experience..!! |

Where are the rains?
Sadly not all India is getting the rains... We in Delhi are eagerly waiting for it
![]() Rains do add a lot to the character of a place, so if you've not seen a place during the rains, then it might not be a bad idea to visit that place again... |

You are right that Sikkim would not be the best place to travel in July. It would be really beautiful and the hills would be covered with flowers, but it would be very difficult to travel from one place to another due to landslides. Also you will not be able to trek during the rains. My suggestion would be to go to Meghalaya. It' really really beautiful in the rains, absolutely magical. The area around Shillong and Cherapunge are simply amazing in the rains. |
