An offbeat place for honeymoon in the hills

Hei guys,

Am getting married and so a honeymoon trip (4-5 days ok??) during November. I wanna go to an offbeat, secluded place (without many tourists). That should be reachable without much effort and with good accommodation options. I'm looking for a hill station with these specs. Will be good if its in North India as I like the place to be foggy also.
I have Almora, Kausani, Ranikhet (maybe one of them or a combination, depending on your suggestions).

Though budget is not the main criterion, would like it to be medium range.

Help me guys in this. As the thread progresses, I'll keep giving more info as needed.

Babloo, whether 4-5 days is ok or not you have to decide.. Expereince says that is the only time wives are happy with their husband.. So, extending it by a week will only benefit you !

Thanks Bhaswaran & Arun.
I think I'll extend the stay at destination to a week and travel (ex Mumbai or Hyderabad) will take 2-3 days.
Can I cover any other place along with Khirsu?

What about Ranikhet?

I suggest you choose one or maximum two destinations and not go from place to place. Just focus on the quality time you'll spend together in a tranquil, scenic place. It could be Ranikhet, Binsar, Khirsu, or any other.

If you are from Hyderabad, and if you are short on time, why not choose a place in south or western India? Or even Nuwara Iliya in Srilanka?

congrats ..try himachal pradesh. You can try route of Dharamshala and Dalhousie. There are a lot of off beat places near Dharamshala and they are beautiful. There are also really nice homestays and farmstays. you would find them on net

My votes are for:-

Dalhousie (far, smaller, far nicer than Darjeeling), quiet, great food, nice mountain cottages with fireplaces!

Rewalsar Lake (VERY secluded & remote) Accommodation limited but the Monastery run Tso Pema (Lotus Lake) Hotel is lovely. The ambience of this town is something else!

Have a magic life together!
