air force museum delhi

after my significant other flew back home i had spare time and went to the air force museum (can see sign near airport when passing army training grounds). it has an excellent collection of complete planes/jets, historical displays, and even the taxi driver got out and started taking pictures to show to his cronies.

I was quite impressed with this place too. I went there on a class trip many years ago. I especially remember the specially designed Japanese Kamikaze suicide bomber plane. A plane with a complete cockpit etc. but without a landing gear! (Designed to be launched from bigger aircraft like any other bomb). Still sends a bit of a shiver down my spine!

On the same trip we also saw the national railway museum in Delhi which was also fairly decent though considering India's rich railway heritage, this could be a lot better with more empahasis on how some of these routes were laid etc. rather than displaying all the old rolling stock.

That sounds fantastic, is any of it indoors and air conditioned? I'd be visiting in May and I'm not at all sure how long I'd be able to cope with the heat.

If it's all outside, I don't suppose you know what time they open in the morning?

EDITED TO ADD: Don't suppose there's an Army Museum anywhere in Delhi?
