Adventure Travel & Danger Finders

For the benefit of some of us who go ice climbing for kicks (you know who you are ), two sites that appear to list some of the more out-of-the-way destinations & hobbies:

GORP.com -- Adventure Travel and Outdoor Recreation

Fielding's Danger Finder (looks pretty outdated)

No, I've never travelled through either so see what you make of them. (btw With GORP's $750 minimum for a week of bicycling the Netherlands I could tell you how to do it a lot cheaper but it makes for inspiring reading maybe.)

This is my guhru, where I derive my strength, to me there is not many passions in life that compete with a true adventure,

My guhru is a demanding guhru, demands 100% effort at all times and 110% when necessary

My guhru is an unforgiving guhru, the penalty for failure can be severe

But if I meet my guhru's rules I am rewarded with a sense of confidence and strength that I consider essential to traverse this life, for that moment I am an eagle, soaring over my domain, that's a feeling that rests in your very being, batteries charged, bring on the world

And my guhru let's me get drunk and chase women

I'd say as guhru's go, I've got one of the best

I'm also happy to see the number of Indian's planning and executing adventure trips. An adventure trip doesn't mean you have to clinb, kayak, trekk or any of the others, taking a motorcycle through rough country or during rough climatic conditions is an adventure in itself and I think you'll find that every trip will increase in difficulty.

Pretty soon you'll be hooked, you've done all the roads and you start eyeing summits. It's all fun ;-)

PS: I'm looking forward to riding with some of you guys
