A Taste for the Eclectic
Hiya,
I'm heading over to India this September and planning to stay for at least three weeks... I'm wondering if you guys can recommend: a) places with a high degree of multiculturalism b) the most eclectic sights of India Looking forward to hearing from you, Epiphanie ![]() |

"Eclectic Sights"
Wow. Merchant, that was a divine picture... I will waste no time in getting to Suraj once I'm in Mumbai, that's for sure!
As for what I mean by eclectic sights? You could say I mean any place that brings together different styles, subcultures, etc... I'm still getting over that beautiful water park image... wow. Piff |

a, Guwahati & Silchar (both in Assam)
Guwahati is the gateway to the northeast and is a fascinating collection of faces from all over the region. Silchar is just as amazing, and even more noticeable, it is the final gateway to Tripura, Mizoram, & Manipur, also, you constantly see people from Nagaland and Meghalaya, there are also a lot of people who moved to Assam from Bangladesh. |

KERALA!
O it's a state unlike any other... It is AMAZING. It's got beautiful hill country (I wept on the way to Munnar it was so pretty) and also beautiful tropical beaches. It's truly cool. ![]() |
