Welcome to Indiamike.
First of all your trip is pretty rushed!
At Chilka stay in Barkool at OTDC bungalow. Take an early morning boat trip to visit Kalijai Temple.
I don't think you can include Gopalpur in your trip, there is no time.

There is also an OTDC hotel in Satapada.

When we visited Bhubaneswar we did a day tour with the OTDC. It included Nandankanan, Udaygiri and Khandagiri Caves and some temples.

Pipli is on the road between Puri and Bhubaneswar; it won't take much time to see what the co-ops are selling, so plan on stopping for an hour or two. The buses run fairly often.

You can consider the below plan. Let me know if you have any questions.

day1- start for bbsr from blore.

day2- reach bbsr and go to puri in the evening.

day3-visit jagannath temple and sea beach.

day4- early morning start for konark via marine drive road, vistit konark and come to bbsr. on the way you can spend some time at pipili and visit dhauligiri reach bbsr in the evening.

day5- morning go to Nandankanan, spend half a day there and have your lunch. Then visit khandagiri and udayagiri.

day6 - Visit Lingaraj temple,Rajarani temple, Mukteshwar temple,64 Yogini Temple and do some shopping.

day7 - Spend time in bbsr and post lunch start for chilika (barkul). Bbsr to barkul is of around 3 hrs journey. Stay in OTDC barkul.

day8- Take an early morning boat trip to visit Kalijai Temple and chilika lake.

day9- Board prashanti exp from brahmapur. From barkul to brahmapur is around 60 kms. You can also board the prashanti exp at balugaon which is very near to barkul but the train stops only for 1 min there.

Excellent planning by Sidhu!!!
Just trying to justify and few comment on Sidhu's plan.

day1- start for bbsr from blore.

day2- reach bbsr and go to puri in the evening.

(After the train journey it would be better to reach at 1st destination and take rest.)

day3-visit jagannath temple and sea beach.

(Do Sriganesh from Jagannath temple, feel the holy place and sit cool for rest of day at sea beach. You will be refreshed.)

day4- early morning start for konark via marine drive road, vistit konark and come to bbsr. on the way you can spend some time at pipili and visit dhauligiri reach bbsr in the evening.

(Early morning journey on the marine drive would be memorable. You will go along the sea beach for a 20+KM stretch!!! Konark would be beautiful at morning.Pipili and Dhauligiri will come On the way to Bhubaneswar. So I hope you can get the evening free for you at Bhubaneswar.)

day5- morning go to Nandankanan, spend half a day there and have your lunch. Then visit khandagiri and udayagiri.

(Nandankanan will take half of your day. Khandagiri & Udayagiri will come on the way.)

day6 - Visit Lingaraj temple,Rajarani temple, Mukteshwar temple,64 Yogini Temple and do some shopping.

(Bhubaneswar is the Temple city. You can find many attractive temples in and around Bhubaneswar. 64 Yogini is bit far. But no doubt you can visit there and back to Bhubaneswar comfortably.)

day7 - Spend time in bbsr and post lunch start for chilika (barkul). Bbsr to barkul is of around 3 hrs journey. Stay in OTDC barkul.

(In this season getting booking at OTDC, Barkul may be little difficult. Call OTDC people for booking well in advance.)

day8- Take an early morning boat trip to visit Kalijai Temple and chilika lake.

(Chilika is such a beautiful lake!!!)

day9- Board prashanti exp from brahmapur. From barkul to brahmapur is around 60 kms. You can also board the prashanti exp at balugaon which is very near to barkul but the train stops only for 1 min there.

(Yes, instead of coming back to Bhubaneswar to board a B'lore bounding train, you should board from Berhampur. That will be around 200KM nearer!!)

Overall its a very comfortable trip. No hurry, plenty of time to get return of your investment.

Dear All,

Can you please suggest some good budget hotels in BBSR and Puri which would be near to most of the tourist places.
