Churches

Hello Everyone,i have been reading your site for the last 3 years.Its Brilliant.Now I have a question are there any Catholic churches in Berhampur & can anyone just go to Mass there or you have to belong to that particular church?

Berhampur is the head of the diocece of Berhampur, so there will even be bishops cathedral (although prehaps a small one, I dont know) . And as with every catholic church around the world, they are open to everybody, and you can just go there and join mass. (and if you are catholic yourself, you DO actually belong to that particular church;-) ) If you feel a bit shy you can always go to meet the parish-priest before mass, introduce yourself and talk to him, thats what I always did when I felt like visiting a smaller mass in India. I think you will feel very welcome.

by the way in Orissa , where is the oldest church and when it was built ?
