yes, but i believe this is in the area south of the sea mouth, where you also have the small shacks selling sea-food...which is why it is important to get as much north as possible, closer to the sea mouth...
but i would be interested in seeing how they bring the camel over to this spot by boat!!!
try the crab meat cooked by the local shacks, just awesome!!!! reminds me our visit to this place last november. crab was so big, one occupied the whole dish, it was very sweet and tasty.
Similar to the beach quoted by Paramiyer is found in Rajhans Island. This is diagonally opposite to the Satpada ....almost an hour by boat, Actually there is only a spacious Government house for the Governor's stay, I was told. Rajhans island is a long narrow strip of land demarcating Chilika with the Bay of Bengal. One can hear the Roar of the Bay of Bengal from the Chilika facing shore of the Island and believe me that is awesome. A 10 minutes uphill walk took us to the pristine and gorgeous beach where we were the only bipeds from horizon to horizon....and that is a wonderful feeling....permanently rooted deep in our memories!!!
