Wine shops with imported spirits in (South) Mumbai

Hi,

While I am fully satisfied with Indian cuisine after my first two months spent here, I must admit drinks available at wine shops are so-so, be it the local brands (Kingfisher beer, A20 vodka...) or so-called imported brands (which seem to be in fact locally made, with artificial alcohol and flavours).
So would you have some addresses of places where I could buy real imported booze, i.e. distilled and put in bottle in their original place? I would be especially keen to have information as to where I could find whiskeys (Bushmill, Blackbush) and vodka (Stolichnaya). Can we get bottles to take away at five star hotel bars maybe?

Cheers,
Tom

Last I checked, Johhnie Walker Black (750ml) was selling for $75 in the Food World on MG Road in Bangalore. So yes, imported stuff is available for twice the price.

You get a reasonable variety of imported liquor brands at many liquor stores. You can try Peekay Wines or Shah Wines near Crawford market. They usually have a good stock of imported liquor.
