Hi Everyone,

First of all I want to thank everyone who gave suggestions regarding customs at mumbai airport and it was very helpful.now i want to ask one more thing about which i have searched alot on net but still i have few doubts so want to be sure.my question is can anybody tell me about wholesale markets for fabrics like for unstitched lenghas and unstitched shalwar kamez and sarees etc but i want to buy heavy dresses which one can wear in weddings.I have checked sites of seasons and ropam and sheetal etc so i want unstitched material like them.heavy work like zari, kundan, stones, dapka and zardosi work clothes but it has to be heavy work and i dont want to purchase expensive stuff.so can anybody give me idea kay which market is best for what kind of clothes and which is cheaper.i have checked on net about mangaldas market, ghandi market, kuldevi and manesh market but i am not sure that whether i will get cheap and similar stuff like sheetal and seasons etc and one more thing that what do you guyz think about which city is better Mumbai or Delhi?which one is cheaper in prices and where will i get zardosi ,zari, kundan and antique work?Actually i want to buy this stuff for my boutique and not for my personal use thats why i want to buy cheaper stuff in wholesale and thats why i dont want to buy from sheetal etc.thanks in advance and looking forward for your reply and help.

I do not think you will get un-stitched work done Saris anyplace. You will need to buy the cloth and then get it done yourself. If you want to you can talk to me in pvt, my wife supplies bridal wear to many places including sheetal !

Hi There, thanks for replying, I am thinking of indian girl clothes, salwaar kameez, churidar trousers, etc but I don't want the standard salwaar kameez you get, I want funky different cuts with handwork like beading, stones, embroidery, netted, different materials, different kind of cuts and elegant styles for weddings and also casual wear, etc. There is a big market for that kind of stuff here. I have a few designs in mind and I would want to keep up with the latest fashion. I'd want indian/western style outfits, I could send examples from magazines and samples. There's boutiques like that here who order from india. People come in tell them what they want, what material, what changes they want to make to an outfit etc and they send it off to india to get it made. Could you help me?

Please help I need advice

Hi everybody. I am from England and thinking of starting up my own business here. I am wanting to open a clothes boutique selling exclusive quality Indian outfits. The sort of stuff I am looking at is salwaar kameez, Churidar trousers and in particular outfits with different funky cuts and different designs. I have a good knowledge of fashion and would be able to research the latest designs and send photos and samples, etc. I need a taylor who can make up these quality outfits for me. I would like handwork done such as beading work, dimonte, pearls, embroidery, different materials, netted, silk, etc. There are a few boutiques here which offer a made to measure service where one can go in and choose the fabric, design, what kind of handwork they want to an outfit, what changes they want to make, etc. I have been on the sheetal and seasons websites and that is the sort of quality and hand beadwork I am after. I am after casual outfits and outfits suitable to wear to a wedding. I would order in bulk, therefore need a good price. Can anybody give me any advice and point me in the right direction? I would be really greatful in any advice anyone could offer. If you would like to email me please mail me on n5umy@hotmail.co.uk

Thanks a lot, your responses will be much appreciated.
