Where should we stay in Mumbai? Hi, we will shortly be moving away from India, and will need a hotel for the night or two after we ship our belongings to Bangkok and wait for the owner of our apartment to return our deposit etc. I'm just not sure where we should stay for those one or two nights. We live in Bandra/Khar(West) and I guess being close to that area is probably wisest (easy for the International airport too). I'd like to have a nice hotel... but not too pricey if that is possible. If we can keep it around 4-5000Rps that would be great... but I admit I am not familiar with hotel prices in the city since I've only lived here and not been a tourist. Main thing is clean, good a/c, and room for the several suitcases we'll have. Any thoughts out there? Thanks as always.

Hi Brishti, I'm trying to find pics of the hotel Pali Hills you mentioned but there don't seem to be any online. Do you have any links that may help me. Much appreciated. Thanks! A Banana

Did you search in Google? I found it straight away. It's very pretty inside... but also I think the prices have shot way up... for one room (double occupancy) was about 13,500Rps! http://sutradonyx.in/concerns.html Looks nice... but more than we want to spend. We might try Hotel Beach Garden in Juhu as suggested on another thread.

I thought so... after reading another IM'er who really liked it.. and just in October. Plus the prices are right up our alley So... I think we'll go with that. Can't actually walk to it from our house... but we have to hand over the keys then anyway so it doesn't matter. ![]()

| Abanana: Try the Residency Hotel at Fort or the YWCA International Center at Colaba. Both are in the same price range of around Rs2000 for a airconditioned double room with attached bathroom. Cheers, Aadil.
