Where did you get your furniture?
Where did you get your furniture?
Hello,
As I will settle in Mumbai in a couple of months, I am starting to gather information as to places where I can buy stuff for my flat. While I have most appliances already, I will need some (essential) furniture quite rapidly: bed, table, chairs, sofa... and the like. I am looking for some kind of "in between" regarding style, i.e. no pure Western style, nor too much Indian style. For those who know Hauz Khas Village in Delhi, things like at Natural Selection look really nice.
So do you have shops to recommend (be it ready-made or made to order) in Mumbai (I will live in Cumbala Hill)? Otherwise, if some of you are leaving Mumbai between September and December, and are looking to sell some of their furniture, I might be interested.
Cheers,
Tom

Tom,
Cumballa hill is like 2 mins from where i am staying. Welcome!!!!
for furniture there are a variety of options, depending on how much you want to spend.
places like the more ethnic and classy Good Earth (Raghuvanshi Mill, Lower Parel)the more modern and minimalist Red Blue Yellow (Mahalaxmi & Colaba) Lifestyle at Phoenix Mill also has a Furniture section which is classy yet, reasonable and functiona (3rd and last floor)
These are places very close to you about 15 mins from Cumballa Hill. If you wish for something more elaborate or selective you will have to go to the suburbs where there are a few stores where you can essentially shop once and for all coz they are HUGE!!!
if you want ill get you the addresses.
