Where best to pass 5 hours
Before I start, I would just like to say I have used the search facility to try and find my answer before pestering the rest of you.
I arrive in Mumbai from Paris @ 11:30pm. I then have an internal flight with Jet Airways to Cochin @ 05:45. I have discounted the idea of using a hotel as I would probably only get 3 to 3.5 hours sleep max. Where is it best spend these few hours? Should I stay in the international terminal after collecting my bags and get the shuttle bus closer to my domestic departure time? Or should I head straight to the domestic terminal? My main considerations would be comfort to sleep, food & drink and somewhere to smoke if possible. Thanks in advance for any advice. Iain |

Get the hell out of that international airport ASAP....with your baggage of course
![]() Okay...the domestic is far better than the international. Good reclined sofas to sleep on, coffee, burger places, internet cafe...ummm.....I think there must be a smoking place inside somewhere but you can always just step out and have a smoke. No problems. But do look around if there are any smokers out there...just in case if the area is a No-Smoking zone now. ![]() Coming from the international airport you will like the domestic. Have fun!

I would go direct to the domestic airport on the shuttle bus, there you will find big reclining chairs in the departure lounge. The chairs are comfy and you will be able to lay out and grab a few hours kip.

Jet Airways has a lovely new domestic terminal in Mumbai - for a moment I thought my flight from Delhi had landed somewhere in Europe. (Not sure if Cochin flight leaves from there - do check which domestic terminal you need to go to.)

All domestic flights now leave from the new terminal. It is very nice and modern with a couple of coffee shops and retail places. There is a bar upstairs where you can smoke. Only problem might be that these places may be closed at the hours you will be there.
