What should I do?
So I have been sitting in Gujarat watching, at a considerable distance, the events unfolding in Mumbai.
I wanted to fly back to London from Mumbai next weekend (some time around Aug 8th) but am wary of changing my flight date now. What is the most likely scenario, that the airport (to fly home) and train transport (to get from Gujarat to Mumbai) will be totally OK by then? I know it is difficult to predict but does anyone know of the likelihood of more floods? Heavy rain is one thing, but actual floods are of course another! |

Hi, I'm in a similar situation. I am booked to fly Mumbai to London on 4th August.
All I can do is wait until nearer the time, then contact the airline. Good luck! John

Have you boys considered flying our of another airport?. Some of my friends had no problem getting the airlines to change their routing on restricted tickets due to the floods. Try it and it might save you some hassles.

I have just spoken to British Airways in London.
All BA flights are now running normally to and from Mumbai. I imagine other airlines are back to normal too. All the best, John. |
