Hi Amar,In fact me and some of my friends visited the Pandav kada falls last sunday. It is amazing double falls (2 nos). The pandav kada falls are situated near kharghar hills and exactly opposite to the central park. So landmarks for you to ask are Khargar- Central Park/ Golf course/ Hare rama Hare Krishna temple.... and yes they were shut by law since 1998 as some friend has quoted... but it seems things have changed.... or maybe its only for few days... so you may need to hurry...
thanks Mahen

An update on Pandavkada waterfalls. I read in newspaper a few days back that there would be a entry fee of Rs 10 per person for the waterfalls. This money will be utilized to pay the salary of life guards and security guards to be placed there. I am not sure if they have implemented this. Will go and see if this has started this weekend.

I went up to the waterfalls behind the Tata Cancer Hospital with my nieces and nephews just last week, located in the neighborhood of Khargar, Navi Mumbai. It's pretty spectacular and there is a lot of other trekking to be done all around. We didn't get busted. In the areas not too far from the road we did see a few beer bottles and such but the farther you trek the more prestine it becomes. You can take the train to the Khargar station and then from there to the Tata Cancer Hospital it is about 50 rupees by auto rickshaw.
Be sure to take lots and lots of water with you, safe trekking.

Yep, after a long ban of 5years (i guess), pandavkada is thrown open to public. I have some college memories attached to it, coz it was my first visit to any waterfall.
Good to hear that they are charging a fee. Lifeguards around, Ban on beer drinking, building changing rooms can attract more ppl.
