Two days in Mumbai
I have two days in Mumbai. What are the best attractions and must do places?

Lots of places
Gateway of India, Jehangir Art Gallery, Colaba market, Chatrapati Shivaji Museum (Formerly known as Prince of Wales Museum), Fort Area (For British Buildings), Marine Drive Promenade (Especially during night time) - All of the above can be easily be covered in less than one day's time. You can make a half day visit to Elephanta Caves. Take a ferry from Gateway of India. Let us know your interests to give you more options. Ronak. |

Hi, we are planning 3 nights in Mumbai to do some sightseeing. Do you think this will be enough to cover most attractions or would 4 nights be better?

Three nights is enough, but four would be better. Bombay has a surprisingly excellent nightlife and bar scene to those who don't associate India with a drinking and partying culture. You might want to check it out.

Lakshadweep
Thanks for the reply - i leave next Monday - looking forward to this trip but getting a bit nervous now!
I also really want to get to the Lakshadweep Islands - all attempts by me to get there have failed though!!! The tour operators SPORT are fully booked and i must have sent 5 - 8 e-mails to other "services".... Can i just grab a flight to the islands and find some sort of accommodation there (everything i have read tell's me no)... any help here appreciated ![]() |
