A local street cobbler should suffice...

there isn't anybody in Mumbai who professionally mends trekking or climbing shoes. You will have to go to a local street cobbler and get it stuck. From my personal experience I would recommend you not to get the sole stitched, especially if it is a hard soled Vibrum. This is because the sole will begin to crack after some time due to the stitches, so it' best to only use their sticking solution. Nowadays some of the bigger cobblers use a solution like super glue to stick the sole so chek with him for that as the results are more long lasting.

They use old tyres and small tacks to mend soles here! They work very well too - but if your soles are intact, what piran suggests will work well.

Dont know whether you will find one along the lines of what you are thinking of.. Delhi does not have anything like that either best to my knowledge, here ofcourse i would have gone to BATA and given a shot at getting them fixed there ... maybe you could just approach a branded showroom...Nike, Reebok something along those lines and ask them if they can..

On a different note, the local cobblers are very very good, they might not look it , and they might be sitting on the road but the quality of their work is excellent in most cases.

And I would second that. In fact, the only shoe repairers here are the ones sitting out in the market on the roads.
