Special Occasion places - Birthdays etc

So. I have a certain lady friend who i have to take out this weekend (by that i mean take her out for dinner rather than what is in Hitman parlance a technichal term for a job)

Anyway so some of the places i have considered are

Golden Dragon
Indigo
Monza

Now the rub is that she isnt from Bombay so i was thinking it would be wise to add some ambience to the food as well. In fact more ambience less food is allright with me i reckon.

so i was thinking drinks at Dome and step down into Corleone at the Intercontinental (or just drinks at the Dome) or the Saltwater Grill.

i havent been to either the Dome or the Grill. any of you lot has?

also. there is a strict within Worli policy so absolutely no chance of me driving anywhere beyond Copper Chimney.

Maybe you could go a few steps beyond Copper Chimney to Mela for the ambience where they have a fair like atmosphere with mehendi (henna drawings on the hands which will be rendered useless for sometime till the henna dries!!!) for the ladies, etc. Well within your Worli limits too!!! And hope your friend is not reading this forum too!!! Hahaha!!!

Cheers,
Aadil.

Well the Limit being WORLI for you my friend. I suggest Saly Water Grill. its anice place and preety chic too the. You might be lucky its started to cool down a bit at night and its slightly windy too

The dome is a good option too but its the usual stuff and preety more sophisticated i feel. S W Grill is far more trendy ...

Enjoy

Cheers

well Mela is not all that bad ........its ambience is all right ...and again....its not ambience is not totally for oldies, skinny....foodwise Jewel Of India is much better than Mela.

SWG is a nice choice but go there after sunset only...else u will be toasted though getting a seat there will be a prob at that time.

by the way all u respondednts till what time r u ppl awake in the night....god knows when u ppl sleep

well here is the 411.

Saltwater Grill, get a table, plan is dropped, cancel table, plan changes, no table

Dome - no reservations for dinner. it is a free for all.

well. this is interesting.

i got us a backup table at Souk for tomo night. Now. i gave her a lot of grief for making me cancel the table coz of her schizophrenia.

now. she made me give her the number for SG and she said shell sort it out. i just got a call that we HAVE a table for 8 tomo.

im panicking. coz i told her id do anything if she could get the table. so now like a paranoid freak i am trying to confirm that there indeed is a table. before i cancel my Souk reservations.

this reminds me of about 4 pages from American Psycho.

paranoia is a wonderful thing.

I do seriousley believe that you have lot of patience and self-restraint to keep up with the changing moods of the lady in question and her wims and fancies......

Is it worth it??
