yes!
CST (VT) area... just get out of the rail station and walk on the footpaths..more found on the McD side if walking to Fountain. scores of stalls selling latest software stuff... from Norton to FIFA games to WinXPs to Service Packs... u just say it and its there.... they will ask for 100/200 bucks for a 1CD software/game. but give no more than 40Rs for one CD...... can go upto 50Rs if he insists but not more than 60Rs. and yes do open the CD cover and see if the CD really has some data. just have a look on the silver side of the cd to see a distinct ring close to the circumference. if there is a ring its been tried for data burning so can try ur luck taking it......and if it looks plain it might well be blank...... this check does not gurantee a good CD but at least does away with likely blanks. happy software shopping ![]() cheers, Amyl

The street/district where all the electronics and software are sold is called Dr Dadasaheb Bhadkamkar Marg (Lamington Road) . MAP. Directions :- Get off at Grant Road Station, On Your Right side if coming from Churchgate or Left if u r going towards Churchgate.Come out of the station.....go under the bridge or flyover, turn left, continue straight till u hit the crossing. Turn right from there and continue straight....the road that begins from the crossing on your right is Lamington Road. If you feel too confused, get down at Grant Road station and ask anyone for Lamington Road Policestation
But the best place to get software cds like amyls has said is on the footpath when you walk from VT to fountain or outside various railyway stations. |

... Hey, thanks guys..
I saw some of the stalls selling stuff last month, but did not see anything MAC compatible.. I think the Grant Rd district might be what my friend was thinking of and he said many of the stores could find stuff ''to order'' and there were loads of electrical outlets as well.. Any particular locations for Mac software ? |
